Gah, all they've added today is bios for mario and link. I think this daily update thing will take a while until we get some really new stuff
Hmm.

"Link wields the Master Sword and a diverse arsenal of equipment.
Use all of his weapons to adapt to the ebb and flow of battle."

So where is his Ball and Chain and the Spinner? Heh.

Also, these are just about the worst bios I've seen for Mario and Link. Jumping action? Pleh.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Is there a tentative list of characters yet? It sounds like Nintendo is going to possibly have twice as many playable characters as SSBM.
Where'd you hear that? The roster we have now better not be the final roster, but I'm sure even if they release an expanded roster that there will still be surprises left in-game.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I simply can't wait to play as Pit. I think I'm switching from Link. Yeah, it's that cool.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

It looks like the engine has really been tweaked to provide a nice free-feeling experience when battling. Still, I wonder if there is a line that should not be crossed in regards to freedom. I just hope they keep the balance of the last two iterations.

Patience Servbot. I like the slow trickle. Makes me even more psyched about the game. Have any other games used this format? Blog about releasing details?

I was speaking idiomatically.

Cracker launcher?

Huh? Launches firecrackers, but what game is it from (or is it just for fun?)?

This actually scares me a little. Previously the only item that wasn't related to a nintendo game was the motion sensor bomb (but it was close enough!). Are they adding items just to beautify the game now?

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

This is true if you disregard the party ball, the bumper, the cloaking device, the ray gun, the capsule, the paper fan and the beam sword.
Party Ball - Like SSB crate - just generic opener to get items.
Bumper - Could be Pinball
Cloak - Got me
Ray Gun - Starfox
Capsule - Like SSB crate
Paper Fan - I KNEW this was from something . . .
Beam Sword - Bleh?

Okay, so maybe not EVERY item, but darn close!

Ack! Weekend dropoff! Heh.

It seems like a lot of the levels are going to go with the "flying platform against pretty background" method. From what I've seen of that Meta-Knight level it's the same thing. Not that I'm opposed to it. I always wanted a toggle to turn environmental deaths off to ensure that skill killed you and not chance. That's why Final Destination was the most popular arena for fighting. Obviously they relaized that for Brawl. I just hope it doesn't lead to boring levels. I'm not really worried though . . . heh.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yup I'm quoting myself! It was a dry week and now we have a very exciting announcement! Now skills with characters will be connected to the choice of control as well. This is wild! I'm excited about using the Classic controller, actually. I knew I bought that thing for some reason! It's a great little design without all the fluff.

It'd be cool to have boss fights in the adventure mode. They wouldn't even have to be playable characters, but Samus could fight Mother Brain at the end instead of Master hand, Link could fight Ganon, Snake could fight Metal Gear, etc.
Then you could switch it up and have Pikachu beat the tar out of King K. Rool, or have Link slice up King Deedeedee. Well, that may happen anyway . . .

How ya doing, buddy?

True, infact that rumor about Ridley, WW Link and Bowser Jr being new charcaters in the game was completely false. So there's no way he'll make it, besides I hate WW Link but that isnt the point he's a clone of the original and therefor he wont make it even if he had a different move set.
Oh, so you're in contact with the developers then?

I wish then I would of told you guys about the release date.
Missed the sarcasm there then . . .

Unless he gets the METAL BOX then maybe he'll be his Meta form, but seriously I dont see him being a playable due to his large size. I just see him being a background character or a boss for Adventure mode (if there is one) as you said it.
This is getting old.

NES Ridley

SNES Ridley

In SSBM

Sure, there are also a lot of bigger versions, but:

So just stop it.

Best update yet. This should have been reserved to a Friday!
Now there will be less whining if playable characters don't make it, provided that they appear as assist trophies.
I bet there will always be something to whine about though.

No, that's rankings on your personal game. Tiers are rankings that high-level tournament players have given each character. Many aspects of a fighting style go into these analysis.
poke around smashboards some and eventually you'll find something about tiers, and then a flood of info about SSB that you never knew existed and will blow your mind.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I bet that what this means is that turning into Zero Suit Samus is a consequence of using the final smash. This will suck if the other characters aren't affected after their FSes. This would make ZS Samus playable as well, but this could mess up stats with normal Samus too. Overall, a very perplexing post.

I'm not sure if there was that many, but I certainly wouldn't complain.
The DKJB level is exciting, but probably already ruled out in tourneys. Still, here's hoping for a giant strawberry to blow up at the top!

I'm almost sure that is how it will work, as Pokemon were similar. Randomly they would start showing up in Pokeballs.
I bet you start with a base few and collect others somehow.
