As far as the big two are concerned, I do find Marvel a bit more accessible than DC at the moment. It was aptly put by hermanos at 4thletter, paraphrase here, "The moral of Planet Hulk is that 'it's not easy being green.'"

I think the first book was well-written, but I'm really not keen on these constant crossovers. Whether or not you enjoy or are interested in the premise is something else entirely. If the mini-series is everything that's wrong with Marvel, they could be doing a lot worse.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yep, Baron Zemo. Love the character, well, the current version anyway. I'm a sucker for redemption stories.

Strangers in Paradise, eh? Terry Moore is about to pick up where Sean McKeever left off on Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane. In spite of all the killer crossovers, there's still some stuff at Marvel worth picking up though I know I don't need to hammer at that as if you don't know it. I'm not a Marvel Zombie (no joke intended), it's just that following comics as of late has shown them to have rounded up quite a stable of talent. The events are definitely a valid complaint to make against Marvel, but the writing quality has elevated so much since the 90s. I really think it'll be well-written, Greg Pak has shown himself to be worth that much... the problem is that it'll still be a well-written crossover with very questionable content.

No, really, Terry Moore is writing Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane!

And it's funny you should mention the Skrulls like that. ... Elektra was just killed in New Avengers and apparently was a skrull. Kick starting a "Who can you trust?" tagline.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
