The Shawshank Redemption. Great film, great acting. The sequence of Andy's escape, and the discovery of his empty cell in the morning continues to be very powerful, despite the fact that I have watched it a dozen times.
Donnie Darko. This movie has that "something intangible" that just does it for me. Where The Shawshank Redemption is a film built on hope, Donnie Darko is a film built on a distinct lack of hope {to me at least}. It's so beautifully dark and I love every minute of it. And then there are the actors who all give such wonderful performances. Holmes Osborne as the dad is just awesome. Drew Barrymore :swoon:
Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. Pretty much the best moron/buddy comedy in existence. So much hilarity running wild in this one.
A Lot Like Love. Ok, I admit that I am a huge Ashton Kutcher fan. It doesn't help that this is one of the most enjoyable romantic comedies that I have seen.
How ya doing, buddy?
I didn't say I wouldn't go fishin' with the man.
All I'm sayin' is, if he comes near me, I'll put him in the wall.
