Could I ask why you don't want to stream music from your PC to your 360, instead of loading down its already small hard drive with mp3s?

Jam it back in, in the dark.
I didn't say I wouldn't go fishin' with the man.
All I'm sayin' is, if he comes near me, I'll put him in the wall.

So basically you're saying that perhaps the 360 does not have the capability to transcode mp3 into wma {while it does have the ability to rip from cda}.

Anyway, he might want to do it because media connect didn't work for him, just like it didn't work for me. The damn thing kept getting caught up on the authorizing step and couldn't see my 360. Strange but retarded. :__;
This is strange. I'm sure we could figure it out if it is important to you.

Anyways, the reason I asked the question that I asked was that it is possible that what he wants to do is for a work-around of another problem that he was having, such as the one that CS mentioned, and instead of making a work-around work, sometimes it is better to fix the root issue.

Also tube's point is well taken.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I'm pretty sure I explained, in a subsequent post, the reasoning behind my asking that question, but it's cool, you're basically just trolling me because you're sad because I said you were silly for trying to use a gaming console as your primary music player.

Back to Drexler here, I tried interfacing my 360 with my computer, to see if I could find a way to connect to it and dump files to it from my PC, but I had no luck, and Microsoft's site doesn't really shed much {any} light on your particular need. I would suggest, if you haven't already thought of it, that instead of wasting a ton of cds on this, that if you have CD-rw capabilities, just burn a disc worth of music, transfer it to the 360, then format the disc and start anew, this way you'd really only be using one cd. Time consuming though.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
