Not a huge year in gaming for me, as I sat out several of the high profile releases, and just got Skyrim. But I did play enough to comfortably fill out a list.
Forza 4 - 40 points
Great racing game, with a great selection of tracks, and just as importantly, a great selection of cars. Not only is there a car for every taste, it is probably safe to say there are half a dozen cars for every taste, and if you spend some time tuning and tweaking your favorite car, most likely it can be competitive with most other similarly rated cars.
Deus Ex Human Revolution - 40 points
There was a whole lot to like about this one, and not much to dislike. Quality sci-fi, appropriate visuals, interesting gameplay allowing for several styles of play.
Uncharted 3 - 10 points
Doesn't rate higher because there's a lot that doesn't make sense in this game. Like how the bad guys can afford to employ so many henchmen, why these henchmen are willing to run into burning buildings trying to kill Nathan, and how Nathan has to spend half an hour scaling walls to get deep into some tomb and when he gets there, bad guys are waiting for him. Still has great dialog though.
Disgaea 4 - 10 points
Disgaea in HD. Doesn't rate higher because that's pretty much all it is, and because there is not female brawler class. Still, it is a fun game with over the top voice acting and silly humor. Definitely worth playing if you were a fan of Disgaea, but maybe at a discount price point like the $40 I paid for it.
How ya doing, buddy?
I didn't say I wouldn't go fishin' with the man.
All I'm sayin' is, if he comes near me, I'll put him in the wall.
