My mom stopped spanking me when my body got used to it and absorbed the pain. Basically it just didn't hurt and I stopped crying. I hated spankings, it would piss me off so much. It's like they don't wont to stop, just keep going and going and going. And before they do it, they taunt you about it all the way home, and how bad they're going to do it. When I'd get it, it'd be over really stupid stuff. My mom though was just like that because of what my brother put her through when he was little.
