Full Spectrum Warrior - $6
SkyGunner - $5
Ace Combat 04 - $10
KoF XI - $15
XIII - $9

Combined they cost less than a Wii game...but I'll still never get around to playing any of them.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Heh, all right. I'm kinda torn on what control scheme to use, though...I like the flightsim-style expert controls, but the auto-leveling makes it practically unplayable. There's also this weird thing where your plane automatically follows the target if it's close enough, which really throws me off. Is there any way to turn either of those "features" off? I mean, seriously, isn't the whole point of the EX controls for people who *don't* want help with their flying?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Sorry, disc only...got it in the cheapie bin at GameStop. :/

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I picked up SSBB just because it's new at Costco which means it's $43.95 instead of $50 like everyplace else. I'm not quite feeling it yet; I didn't realize the matches would usually last 10 seconds before the next round. But, I'm going to give it more time since it's apparently a megally-collosally-awesome title....
Er, what? I've yet to see any match last only 10 seconds...

I finally caved and got the MGS EC. Never got around to buying Snake Eater after renting it, so now will be my chance to CRAB BATTLE.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Visited GameStop today and came out with Shadow of Destiny. Haven't tried it yet, but I've heard good things about it. I'm excited!

How ya doing, buddy?

Newest haul was Wipeout Fusion and Okage: The Shadow King. I'm such a bargain bin whore.

Wow, I didn't realize this was out, I'll have to pick it up.

Oh speaking of Sega CD, I just bought Dark Wizard. Interesting little game...the quality of the soundtrack is hilariously disproportionate to the quality of the graphics.

How ya doing, buddy?

Apparently having a job is really bad for my backlog...I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that I don't even buy games to play them anymore. The last two weeks have yielded:

Sam & Max Hit the Road - $10, nuff said.

Final Fantasy Origins, Chronicles, Anthology, VIII, and IX - Someone was getting rid of their collection. Nabbed the lot for $20.

WarCraft II and III BattleChests - I've played the core games but never got around to the expansions. Dude was selling both for $10 so I figured why not.

Audiosurf and Eets - Got these during Steam's $2.50 sale.

Stuntman - $4 at GameStop.

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus - $6 at GameStop. Also furries lol.

12 games for $55. And they'll last me way longer than 14 new dildos ever would. :'3

How ya doing, buddy?

10 - Odama
I was incredibly hyped for this game way back when, but got the flu and because disgusted with the game concept for some odd reason. Saw it for 10 bucks and pounced on it. The voice commands go through almost every time (a little surprising), but it's a damn hard game. Precision with the pinball/Odama is absolutely imperative.
Thanks to you I just bought this game on impulse.

Hope you're happy.

Also, went to Circuit City to see what they got on sale. Figured it would be a good time to get some PS2/3 Component Cables. For the official Sony ones, $17 wasn't a bad price. :|
I'm curious if these actually help the PS2 not look like roasted butts on an HDTV because if so I might have to pick one up.

I was speaking idiomatically.

So a week ago, I bought this monstrosity:

While at first glance it might appear to be a Portal gun committing suicide, it's actually a 3D controller called the Novint Falcon. The main draw for this thing is that it provides directional force feedback, as opposed to the regular rumbles and resistances in other game controllers. Which means you can do stuff like feel the weight of an object, know which direction you're getting hit from, have realistic weapon recoil, etc.

I got mine for $140, but apparently they're going for $100 without the pistol grip at Fry's (Novint sells pistol grips for $20 on their website and eBay store). The main problem right now is a scarcity of worthwhile games, since you have to actually mod them to work with the Falcon, unless they have native Falcon support (i.e. were made by Novint themselves with 3D GameStudio ). That said, they do have mods for a lot of popular FPSes, including Half-Life 2, which is a definitely a very different experience with this thing.

Right now they're working on the Orange Box and Left 4 Dead. In fact, the way I found out about this thing in the first place was when I saw "Novint Falcon - Portal/EP2" in the Steam beta list. I looked the gizmo up (and if any peripheral could be called a "gizmo," this would be it), and just decided I needed one. I'm already really big on force feedback (I prefer playing multi-platform games on console for solely that reason) so this thing was too ridiculous to pass up.

And then my car got totaled. OH JOY WHAT WONDERFUL TIMING.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
