An E6300 is not something I'd call high end...it's a good budget chip (that's why I'm using it :P ), but I think the general consensus is that the E6600 is the best power/price ratio. All the Core 2 Duos are nice overclockers though (I've got mine up to 3.15GHz on stock voltage).
Agreed on the memory too. It's worth it to spring for two 1GB sticks in dual channel if you're running Vista. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
