I was expecting Sasuke to look slightly different with longer hair. He seemed exactly the same even without the forehead protector.

You know the whole bad guy gets stronger and the good guy powers up and so on.

Actually I think a lot of anime fans don't like that kind of scenerio.

That's a common complaint I hear about Naruto as well. I've seen fans of the Bleach anime who seemed to be bothered by the main character's constant power-ups.
