I first watched anime about seven years ago. When I began following more than one title, my parents just assumed that it was a hobby in addition to playing video games.
Even when I did live at home, I had control over how much anime I would watch, so my parents never had to set any limits. My mother once watched the AMG movie with me some years ago and enjoyed it. The only comment I received from my immediate family involved the issue of watching the anime with Japanese audio and English subtitles. They wondered why the anime wasn't in English, and if it was difficult to read subtitles each time I watched an episode. Jam it back in, in the dark.  |
