Years ago when I only had a few games, I always played each one at least three times after finishing it for the first time. A good example would be fighting games. I remember going through those on the hardest mode to see how far I could get. I also recall playing Metal Gear Solid without using weapons except during boss battles. It made the game a little more interesting.
