It looks like Snake is holding some version of the AK (also seen in the E3 trailer). Maybe some futuristic crappy AK. In any case, it's not his SOPMOD M4 from the TGS trailer.
Meryl looks like she took Snake's MGS2 suit and cut it up for her own purposes. Hawt. Why does Raiden need a knife? Maybe it's a short sword. I smell MGS4 online co-op. Too many combat capable good guys this time it seems: Snake, Raiden, Meryl, and Metal Gear Mk II. 4 player co-op would rock.

Yeah, what a rip. I hope OPM has the trailer on their DVD soon.
I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() [ MOBIUS ] |
I love the Gekkos. The series is definietly moving into cyberpunk town. These Gekkos are the true realization of Grannin's dream. Rex seems like (to quote Optimus Prime) "junk" compared to these new gears (in terms of bipedal capabilities). I could definitely see the Metal Gear universe turning into Z.O.E. 50-100 years into its future as Metal Gears become more common-place weapons.
Thanks for the ShowMaybe scans Pietak. You are truely one with Metal Gear fandom to own one! What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? ![]() [ MOBIUS ] |
MGS4 = Redfaction 3!
The Gekko's legs are presumably unaffected by small arms fire. Raiden's HF Blade can cut through them because the blade is much sharper than other swords, it was designed to cut virtually anything. And like Pietak said, The Gekkos wouldn't be nearly as agile if they were weighed down by lots of armor. It's not like they really need alot of armor anyway, if anything big enough to destroy them is attacking (like missiles or something) it seems like they can just leap out of the way.
