Lets see.. When I was in elementary school I was pretty chubby and had buck-teeth. Not many people would pick on me, but when they did, I'd take it pretty badly. I actually tried becoming a bully myself, but the first time I got in trouble for it (1st grade) I knew I'd never try it again. I was too much of a nice guy even back then..

The next issue I had with bullying was maaany years later, in early high school. I was a freshman in a junior-level French class, and for some reason a whole bunch of white chicks would constantly poke me, toss things at me, and simply try to get on my nerves. One day I just completely lost it and flipped my desk over, screaming at the top of my lungs, "Who the FUCK do you think you are?! You stupid bitches, touch me one more time and I swear I'll send you home in goddamn bodybag!!"

It was a liberating moment and was probably the angriest I've ever been in my entire life. The older folks in the class all said, "I wouldn't be able to put up with that. If I was him, I would have done the very same thing."

By the end of my high school career, all of those girls were good friends of mine. They often joked about that moment, actually.

The only bullying I have to put up with today is done by my close friends. They taunt me by calling me the "whitest black guy" they've ever known. Keep in mind, these are both my black and white friends..

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'm not quite sure either. I've actually learned to take those sort of comments in stride, but I still don't fully grasp it. How can I be the "whitest black guy" you know just because I'm book smart, rarely use slang, and can speak reletively well? None of my white friends have any of those characteristics, yet they like to place me among their category.. Makes no sense.

Two buddies of mine are what you'd call rednecks, and are the closest things I have to bullies today. They often force me to respond with equally stereotypical insults in order for them to understand anything I say. For example -

"Yea yea, why don't go back to your cotton fields nigger?"
"HAHAHA, why don't you go back to your 3-inch dicks and inbreeding, cracka!"

I don't like bringing myself DOWN to their level, but it's the only thing that works when dealing with the bullying type.

Ah, that's the difference between us then. I only got comments!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

That made me realize that I totally forgot about a situation I had similar to that. I was in 6th grade sitting at the lunch table with a friend of mine and he asked me to get something for him. After I replied with a "Sure" I heard him say under his breath "Stupid nigger." I shoved his ass to the ground hard and before I started punching him I asked where he learned that word. He had a look of terror in his eyes and responded, "M-my brother!"

At that point I knew he didn't even understand what he was saying, so I spared him an ass whupping before a teacher came over to see what the trouble was.

Sidenote: I'm Caribbean as well, and as far as I know, we're as easy going as they come.

Yea, this is the kind of ridicule I get on a daily basis. 'Black' nowadays isn't a race anymore, it's a style. Everyone can look/act 'black,' but whether or not you really ARE black suddenly has little to no impact people's judgements.

This boggles my mind.. :juggler:

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
