52 hours straight camping the FBSS in the olden and original days of EverQuest 1 before there were any expansions. Those were fun days, when MMOs actually equated to fun versus all the bullshit that exist in them today.
There was one time I spent like 37'ish hours playing Resident Evil 1 non-stop when it first came out for the PS1. It was mainly runs to attempt the whole "Rocket Launcher in under 3 hours" bit so I was playing repeatedly to map out what I was going to do. Such were the days with no internet.
Then there was one time I spent 30 hours or so doing mostly Alterac Valley battleground in World of Warcraft. I got #2 in the Honor Ranks for that week, and started a drama explosion that nearly pissed off the entire server. That accomplishment (and a few others) paved the way for my quitting it for good too, with little else to prove.
Was any of these worth it? Absolutely. They aren't stories I'm gonna tell my grandchildren by any means, but it's something to look back on.
Did I get sick? Never did once. I have so much stamina it kills me sometimes, the only reason I ever sleep is because if I don't lectures will bore me into taking a nap. Boredom is about the only way I can sleep anymore.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
