[PS2] Final Fantasy XII

I just played it in for a bit. Froze after meeting Fran, here's my suprisingly few complaints

1: goddamnit i can't get the main character off the screen at all again! Damnit! PUT A SHIRT ON THE (male) CHILD!
2: nitpicky, but having to attack first to get my party to attack is a pain. As is having to do so after i use a spell or a skill.
3: Vaan in general. Not only does he need a shirt and a texture makeover, but damnit i don't really care for him at all. I'm more interested in Penelo. She's suprisingly cute! <3

My happy points

1: Another excellent dub. I enjoyed all the voice acting so far, except for one small part of penelo's (It was incredibly lifeless and dull at one point).
2: This game reaslly isn't like the demo at all. God i hated the demo so much. But this feels a lot better.
3: Fran and Penelo <3 <3 <3 cuter than i thought for serious. Fran's voice is love.

Thanks to this download i went from not very interested to another must buy. The demo REALLY burned me on this game, i wasn't impressed then at all. But this.. this i like. gg square.

Does anyone know where i can get some cheaper and more powerful cures? Cura costs way too much MP, Magic potency dosen't seem to affect cure at all, and i have some 700 hp and 100 hp cures/potions aren't cutting it anymore

Looks like i get to work on quickenings, because i can't afford the upkeep on Hi-potions and cura costs a retarded amoutn of mp even with the channeling licenses. Which means i get to set my Ally HP <40% to Cura! AE Heals i don't need, yay.

Goddamnit if Curaga is AE i'll be so pissed. And if it costs more MP than cura i'll be REALLY pissed.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I'm still greatly anticipating this game, but some recent ramblings from a friend who downloaded the torrent has lowered my expectations a little. 4. The scene with Penelo and the orcs, along with the Penelo FMV, are nowhere to be found.

These might sound like minor complaints, but for a game that's undergone 4 or more years of development, I can't conceive why entire areas and story bits were removed entirely. It's a bit disappointing, especially if SE decides to release an FFXII: Director's Cut later on. And you know they will.

1: Sure, wanna strip away the gameplay then?

2: You don't get an airship early on at all. You get brown save crystals that can teleport you to other brown save crystals. Way WAY way later you get to use the airship to go places.

3: There's tons of diverse areas. Yes there's a winter area, 3 plains, 2 forests, 4 deserts, and so far like 8 dungeons.

Penelo does infact get kidnapped by the seeq, cutscenes and all. I don't know what specific FMV you're talking about. It's a major part of the story, rescuing Penelo.

Well i do wish she'd let her hair down. That + Those really awesome tight tights = awesome.

Oh and she holds katanas/2h swords the best.

PS: There are only 6 playable characters in the game. All of them gain LP(and 2x lp with the golden amulet), but only the main 3 fighters gain XP. Which is why my Vaan is sittin pretty at level 8, but has a nearly mastered license board if i have to switch to him for something.

Penelo is my favorite character =3 Followed by Fran, who knows no shame(just how i like my viera anyway), and Ashe, who is imported from FF13.

Why? This is the best FF12 i've played, even storywise. FFX was a great game, so was FFX-2. But those were mainly about the characters, not the world, which were much more interesting. Now we have a FF with a world more interesting and a story more about it.

It's not like the characters are ignored.

Ashe, who is from FF13(i will never stop saying that) has quite a bit to deal with later in the game. Some of the characters themselves are just badtacular awesome. Balthier comes to mind, all the judges, Dr. Cid. They're just presented so well that i end up liking them as a character. And unlike tidus, it's not at the end of the game that i start to care for them.

My only complaint is the lack of playable moogles why, SE, why? God the moogles are SO CUTE
