I haven't played many different games...I started with Ultima Online and still play it sometimes. I've only heard about other titles, but UO seems to be one of the most versatile games of the genre. The shards (servers) can have an uncountable number of custom scripts and maps, making it possible to change almost any of UO's mechanics. It's truly my favorite MMORPG, and it's enough for me.
