Ah, got this gem booked over at VG+ (Anyone noticed how cheap it was for a new game?)

I have high hopes, this could be insanely great. And I heard something about an 8/8/10-grade from EGM. Next week will be <3.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

So VG+ delivered this game to me today, I've spent around 5 hours on it.

Wow.

Totally above what I expected. Great dialogs (really!), amazing animations and nifty gameplay (forget phoenix wright, this is more DS-adjusted). And the style, just wow. I look forward to really getting into this.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

So I just finished the first chapter. Meh. Don't see what all the fuss is about. Seems pretty standard as far as point and click style adventure games go. Phoenix Wright had me hooked from the very start, not the case here. Yeah it's got a novel and unique art style but that alone doesn't magically take it from a standard mediocre game to a great one.
Phoenix Wright for me was a nice story, but it was all clicking on the same place to keep the dialog going. I think Hotel Dusk have some more problem solving and uses the DS's functions way better.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

"You can spend an hour searching for a clue, and the clock won't move, which can get a little frustrating"

What? The point of most adventure games isn't to get stressed and race against time, it's to keep the story (set timelines or not) rolling. I hate it when they put the wrong guys on reviewing certain games.

How ya doing, buddy?
