A lot of people don't want to be bothered with NEEDING a shit load of third-party software to protect them from the big scary internet.

That is so 1999. Really, a hardware firewall (built in in almost every router today) does the job just fine.

And why would I - as a pc user - be bothered with needing to know the ins and outs? I can use my computer in every way I want without bothering with the hardware. And what the hell is with the Sound/Video card thing? I'm willing to bet most PC users don't give a squat about their sound card either. It's probably built in on their mother board anyway.
