I dropped this game after being stuck in the first dungeon without knowing where to go. Is it worth picking up again, or should I just focus on DQ8 instead?

 I just remember running back and forth around that dungeon, between places I've already visited. There's nowhere I can't reach. |

Hmh, I just loaded up my old save, and it seems I wasn't stuck in that dungeon. Seems like I defeated the boss in that dungeon and then saved right after it, in the very end of the dungeon.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
