I feel horribly foolish, but I had not even recognized Robocop until you guys started calling him that. Jesus fucking christ... I knew he looked familiar, but couldn't place him. Hah!

x 100 @ Tony's death. He should have just shot him. Argh! No fair. And yeah, Henderson waking up from, or faking, a coma, was horribly contrived. And I also chuckled at how no one in CTU dying mattered until Edgar did. That's TV for you, haha.

Um dude, that happens in almost every action movie or TV show. Not much to do with 24 clichés here.

I must be really tired, because I giggled hysterically for almost one entire minute at that comment. Good job mate.

^ I agree.

I don't think the German dude is in such deep shit. When he confronts his German superiors with the leak of his lead on Collette and that he has nothing in return, all he has to say is that he was pwned by Jack Bauer... surely they'll understand he stood no chance.

Re: Jazz's theory
Spoiler:

I don't agree. It would be strongly out of character for Novick. He cares a lot about the interests of the White House, but he strongly opposed every goofy plan the president made and urged the first lady to dissuade him, and seems also very opposed to the highly suspicious vice-president. He seems a bit too no-nonsense to be like Cummings. Of course, I could be very wrong... but I don't think it'd be good writing to suddenly have the loyal, no-nonsense Novick as a traitor.

I think he might indeed have gotten Cummings killed, though, simply to avoid the trouble that would have ensued with him.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I agree, Logan is too dumb to be part of any such plot, and it does seem like it'd require retcon.

However, we don't have a lot of information yet. We shouldn't jump to conclusions. Perhaps it will turn out that the president is (thinking he's) doing something completely different than orchestrating the whole terrorist plot.

I'm pretty sure she said they called her "around an hour ago", so that certainly explains her previous calmness.

You already said that earlier in the thread, didn't you? And I said that it's an ACTION MOVIE cliche, it's not specific to 24.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I can't help but wonder, with all the available technology they have, why they didn't send the recording over to some other source by phone.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Even without making a copy, you'd think that a digital recording stored on a CELL PHONE would be easy to send over by email (or SMS, or phone, whatever) using the actual phone. That's quite irritating, especially since they always have the perfect gadget or software to read and analyze every sort of data (building schematics, security cameras of any building, traffic, satellite, decryption of any sort of data, etc.). And now, they are powerless to do anything with a digital recording and a cell phone.

I'm hoping Jack tossed over another cell phone, but maybe Henderson would have noticed too soon somehow and shot Audrey, and he wouldn't risk her... Hmm, we'll see.

Are you sure? It looked like a cell phone to me. And I could have sworn they brought that up... :scratches head:

Great episode. I wasn't sure if Kim Raver's performance as Audrey was funny or excellent. Probably both. I laughed when she babbled "stop, shut up" hysterically, but it seemed convincing enough, and Audrey is normally very calm so it'd be difficult to make her "lose it" convincingly.

Martha vs Charles was great. I cheered a little. Now the president's stress level must be at its peak.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

^ That's just scary... to be so emotionally involved in a TV show. o_O I mean, it's Jack fucking Bauer, yeah, but fainting over him?...

.... Who am I kidding, I understand perfectly.

Seriously, regarding the IGN list, the part I found wrong was this:
Quote:
the Chinese folks he so righteously pissed off
Righteously? If I remember clearly, it was all a big misunderstanding. Not Jack being righteous about anything...
