I haven't been to a dentist in some 14 years and recently I had a plan of getting some work done since my lower wisdom teeth cause unbelievable amount of pain that makes it impossible for me to sleep. When I usually ask the person at the desk the payment arrangement I'm usually told that it costs half a grand upfront, which that leads me to do a 180 and go out the door (still withering in pain).
