Heh, that sounds like me from ages 8-16. I was a late bloomer. People didn't just pick on me because of the way I look, but also my social status (we were poor in the first few years of my life). I suppose I vented my anger by beating up boys in elementary school. After getting contact lenses and losing baby fat at 16, people started talking to me and I became cynical. I'm a lot nicer to people nowadays, but I still don't trust many people very much.
