Don't believe a word of it. Front Mission 4 is a solid game. Loved every minute of it. Solid story, some nice new features, and a very good soundtrack.
There's no need to play FM3 before this one, because their not connected, however I do recommend you play it at some point, it's one of the best strategy RPGs out there.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
