This is one of the reasons i'm glad i'm no longer in the states. American cops are the lowest of the low.

How ya doing, buddy?

Some American cities have a reputation for police brutality, but nothing that can compare to countries you're currently very close to, mate.
I know a few people who've mysterously vanished from society after an altercation with Humboldt county sheriffs and their infamous night raids. I dare your ass to travel to garberville and fuck with the police there. I've even had a friend tazed and arrested at Folsom street Fair by a chick cop simply because he yelled at a dude getting arrested by that cop that his " situation sucked ".

My opinion on police forces are based on personal experience and i've been to HK and mainland china and the cops didn't seem half that bad. Yes, i know that the Chinese have mobile death vehicles and trample over peoples civil rights all the time, but i've never experienced it and you also have to take into account that China has nearly 4 times the amount of people then america does.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

How is Deni right about everything in this thread?! Unbelievable.
I never said it was ok or good for what they are doing. I'm vehemently opposed to all forms of capital punishment. I'm simply saying that before you use China as an example for police brutality, you need to take into account that they have 1 billion more people then america. As it is guranteed that if America had the population of China, they would have equal capital punishment and police violence rates as China does nowadays.

It isn't a fair argument to say one country is far more brutal then another when the countrys in question have a population gap that nearly exceeds the 1 billion mark.

Most amazing jew boots

I fail to see how the level of population is a factor in the ethical question of police brutality.

The vid is disgusting. Nothing more than a bunch of cops pissed off that they didn't go to college. Why couldn't they be elsewhere fighting some crime... I'm sure there's a meth lab somewhere that they could be busting up.

When someone tries to use china's use of capital punishment as a reason why china's police force is more brutal then america's. Population is a huge factor to take into account when discussing such things like capital punishment and using it to gauge the brutality of the police force.

What IS tazering, exactly? Clearly it hurts a lot... That was such a disturbing video. Though... why the HECK would the student not leave after being put through that much pain? Was he not physically able to? And weren't some people offering to carry him out and the police refused?

So disturbing. But it's almost kind of cool how the students got together into a mob and a few stepped forward and started yelling at the cops. Clearly they couldn't jump them or anything, or all of 'em would get tazered.
A tazer is a gun-like apparatus that fires dart-like electrodes that basically elecrocute the reciever of these darts with a certain amount of voltage that incapacitates the victim for a period of time.

Having talked to various victims of tazers, getting tazed takes away all your sense of balance. So you really can't stand up at all for at least 5-10 minutes after the last voltage charge you're body recieved.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Although the U.S prison system currently is over-packed and funding is sparse. if the U.S had to take on extra 1 billion citizens, all the 3,370 inmates on death row currently, wouldn't be alive for more then two days.

China may not have 90% of the world population, yet they are the largest country in the world by 200,000 million people with 1.3 billion citizens unlike the U.S's tiny population of 300 million.

Now lets take a look at the number of incarcerated prisoners within each country.

US - 1,962,220 criminals
China - 1,428,126 criminals

If the U.S had to take on an extra billion citizens, it is easy to gurantee that the capital punishment would reach the current numbers that china are showing, if not higher.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
