[General Discussion] Guess that Anime Screenshot V2

Well, this is my first time posting in a guessing thread, so let's see if anybody can identify what I'm currently watching...

I dunno if it's really too big of a hint or not, but that's not a church bell you're looking at. But it is religious.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Getting a bit warmer, but no. The title of the anime is English.

The Wine holds quite a bit of significance in the series, or at least all that I've watched. Remember, I'm still in the middle of watching this. ^.^

Suppose I'll give a hint (again, might be big): The Anime is set in the late 20th century.

Character shot goes up tomorrow at noon. (At least noon in Virginia, USA)

The first shot is a picture of the school in Vietnam that the party goes undercover to infiltrate. The second shot is the wine that takes the anime to more geographical locations. (at the attempt at not spoiling it).

Haven't watched the actual anime before (just got it recently), but it's very early in the series so if you've seen it, it should be painfully obvious.

Yeah, It looks interesting enough, so I took it. I'm a sucker for Fantasy/Supernatural/Magical Girl Anime.

Well, these boards are somewhat hard to keep up since it's not fun if every shot comes from a well known anime because then it's just a matter of who can hit the refresh button faster. and who can type in the answer and submit the post faster.

I do have a suggestion for a remedy though. If the shot comes from a more obscure anime, there should be at least 1 character in it. But if it's from a more well known one, any random shot is fair game. I know obscure or non-obscure is in the eye of the beholder, but still.

Anyways, I don't think level 1 users can post pictures, so, if you don't mind, I'll steal the turn away.

Let's see how this holds up.

One recognizing this series heavily depends on how much he/she paid attention to it. It's pretty well known though.

It's a rather lengthy series. Again, you'd only know this if you had bothered to go through all of it.

It is indeed Naruto. About episode 175 or so during the filler where they visit the islands and Anko discovers her past with Orochimaru. Those are the ships that they were to protect from the Kaina.

I don't think there exists a screenshot you could possibly take that fits those parameters. No matter what you pick, more than likely, somebody's going to know it off the bat. The only other possibility that exists is that you post the picture of a sky and NOBODY gets it.

Maybe, but my Naruto shot lasted longer than expected (or at least longer than I expected) because I took it from a filler episode. The other one I posted, Blood+ lasted for a while too, and I thought that series was rather well known.

As for your shot, I really have no idea.

You know, I'm just going to go out on a limb here. It doesn't exactly look very much like it's actually part of an anime, but a scene recalled or thought up by somebody in the anime. I'm going to guess Bottle Fairy. Probably wrong though, becuase I don't remember this particular scene.

Oh, hot damn, I got one right! I did actually watch Bottle Fairy, and the only thing that stuck was the OP. La-la-laaa, Laa-laaaa! La-la-laaa, Laa-laaaa!

I'm guess I'll pick something from one I've watched, which may be hard for me (easy for you) since I haven't watched too many yet.



I don't know which is the bigger hint, the font, or what's written in the subtitle. But this should be pretty easy.

Lol yeah, it was easy. Well, it was going to be either the subtitle that gave you the hint or the door, since, well, the picture's pretty much bare of everything else.

The overall solidness of the background textures remind me of Darker than BLACK but that's not a series that I've watched yet though (maybe the first few eps) so I can't be too sure.

I suppose everybody who wanted to watch the series has already watched all of it, but this particular subgroup is still moving along subbing it. To my knowledge, it's the only one that has a 720p version.

As for cat9....it might be a screenshot of the anime I've posted, but I don't recognize it. It would be clever though.

Nope. I deliberately left the subtitle in there as a hint. Then again, I haven't watched Kanon yet, so I don't know how much of a resemblance there is.

I suppose the actual sign might be more misleading though.
