I've got Dolphin as well. What are your system specs?
I've got a 2.8GHz system (Pentium 4) and a GeForce 6600GT Graphics Card. My Graphics Plugin Properties: Under Direct3D settings Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT by Tweaks RUs Device Type: HAL(Hardware Accelerated) Use Shader Ver: PS 2.0 Fullscreen settings: Video Mode: --- Windowed Mode Settings: Resolution: 640x480 Antialias mode: No Antialiasing Under Enhancements, I've got nothing checked. Under Advanced: nothing checked, but.... Default display list optimzation level: 1: Compile lists and decode vertex lists Also, under Emulation at the main window, enable Dynarec. This helps me run SSBM, Mario Power Tennis, Mario Kart: Double Dash!! But I must say, it's really slow, so don't expect 60 FPS. Jam it back in, in the dark. |

It's not if you want to play games at full speed. And yes, you need a dedicated chip to play. I believe the minimum card is a Radeon 9550. That is, it does require shader support. Rendr summed it up well.
