I am a huge Final Fantasy Fan, so every Final Fantasy before Final Fantasy X warrants a purchase from me, They're all damn fun, but I dunno about Final Fantasy X, never owned a PS2. But yes, Final Fantasy I - IX are all good, assuming you're not completely anal about graphics. And for the record: Final Fantasy I has got to be one of the HARDEST RPGs I've ever played.....at least after beating everything else.
But other PS1 games, Legend of Mana is a nice game you could go for, it's kinda like Seiken Densetsu 3 if you've played that. If you haven't, well, I dunno, it's like a third person hack-n-slash with RPG elements. That's about it for new stuff. So all in all.... Final Fantasy Origins (I and II) Final Fantasy Chronicles (IV and Chrono Trigger) Final Fanatsy Anthology (V and VI) Final Fantasy VII Final Fantasy VIII Final Fantasy IX Final Fantasy Tactics Legend of Mana Be warned, the load times on IV, V, and VI are horrendous. If you have an SNES, you'd be better served with the SNES original. (except V which was never released Stateside) Jam it back in, in the dark. |
