Tablet PCs....

Hello all, I'm currently on the search for a good Tablet PC that meets the requirements, yet is relatively cheaper than those that I've found already. This is for college and apparantly, just this year, they are requiring a Tablet PC, rendering my notebook useless. So without further ado, the minimum specs:

Quote:
Platform: Tablet PC Convertible
OS: Windows XP Pro Tablet Edition w/ SP2
PC Processor speed: Pentium M single core 2 GHz or higher or Pentium Duo dual core 1.83 GHz or higher**
Memory (RAM): 1 GB or higher
Hard Disk Drive: 80 GB or bigger
Video RAM: 64 Discrete memory or 128 MB shared (in preparation for Windows Vista)
CD/DVD drive: DVD/CD-RW
Input/Output Ports: USB 2.0
Wireless: 802.11 b/g
NIC/Ethernet Card: 10/100/1000 Ethernet Card
Modem: 56k internal
Warranty: 3 Year onsite with accident coverage (recommend 4 years)***
That last one I could care less about but the others I need to have. I have been searching long and hard, and the best deal I've found was Toshiba's Tecra M4-ST1112 Tablet PC with the following specs....

CPU: Intel® Pentium® M Processor 760 (2.00GHz, 2MB L2 cache, 533MHz FSB)
OS: Microsoft® Windows® XP Tablet Edition 2005
RAM: 1024MB PC4200 DDR2 533MHz SDRAM (512MBx2)
Display: 14.1" Diagonal SXGA+ Wide View Angle display (1400x1050)
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 6600 TE with 128MB VRAM memory
HDD: 80GB HDD (5400rpm, Serial-ATA)
Optical Drives: CD-RW/DVD-ROM Multifunction drive
Wireless: Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG (802.11b/g)

Cost: $1772.10

It's cheaper than the others I've found while being pretty decent. Is there any cheaper? and how good is a GeForce Go 6600 TE with gameplay? and what is "TE"?

Thanks for your help.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yeah dude, I'm probably going to sell it after finding out that they definitely won't go with a notebook. The one I found has the GeForce Go 6600 goin for it, so that's what's getting me. I just need to find out performance with the GeForce Go 6600 TE is.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
