Can't wait for this game. Apparently it's quite popular in Japan, but it is indeed quite niche here.
Looks like there's more icons you can put on your map too. Maybe I won't have to use as many memos to tag everything. But yeah, this is going to be awesome. Quite the surprise. I wonder if the skill descriptions say a bit more this time around or if they're still as vague as ever. I still have no idea what H. Touch does for the Medic in the first one. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
But regardless, my staples are usually a Protector on the front and a Medic in the back. Everything else is free to switch in and out. As for beasts, they are a class, but I'm not sure that they're controllable. It's a really unique class that I can't wait to see how they play out. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Wasn't the first game the same price? If I recall correctly, I picked it up for $29.99 as well.
I suppose after you walk around long enough, you probably would remember where to go, but I can't say for sure since I draw my maps every time. That and the bottom screen fills in squares that you've visited already, so if nothing else, you can backtrack your way. (Well, for earlier levels, until the lillypads, shifting sands, and one-way paths come in.) How ya doing, buddy? |
The official release date of Etrian Odyssey II is June 17 I believe, so I guess some retailers are breaking it. I can't find it around here either.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
The release date's been bumped up?
Atlus's site still says June 17. Regardless, since it's already the 16th, I doubt it matters much. Most amazing jew boots |
I think it depends on how you draw your maps. I don't know about you guys, but every time I come to a split, I draw all possible paths at the split. The first game had some weird stuff to draw though, like the lilly pads and the shifting sands.
Anyways, I hope to pick this game up tomorrow. Though I suppose I should beat the first one first. I'm on the 17th floor, I think. Or at least the second floor of the 4th stratum. About the time the story seems like it's about to pick up at least. How much longer is it, for people who've beaten the first game? Also, what naggles were in the first game? I didn't have any issues with the first game. (Besides skill descriptions being vague, which, if they fixed that, I'd be really happy.) What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
