Disk Error
So I was surfing GFF on my tablet PC when it suddenly crashed on me, and a BSOD pops up with an error message about the Kernel or whatnot, not sure, went by rather fast. Now when I boot up my Tablet, I get an obtrusive message:
Disk Error Press Any Key To Restart So I tinker around with it some more, trying the Acer recovery CD and stuff and then, now I have the message: NTLDR is missing Press any Key to Restart I don't know how or why it changed to the second message, but would I most likely be correct if I guessed that my Hard Drive is crashing and burning? Yeah, I got it (The XP CD).....Trying it out now...
EDIT: Seems that copying NTLDR from the CD didn't cut it, unless it has to be in a specific place on the drive, it still says it's missing.... I'm going to try fixboot and fixmbr from the recovery console. EDIT 2: fixboot didn't work either.....fixmbr seems to have the unfortunate possibility of rendering my hard drive partitions inaccessable.....I don't know, I'm at a loss here.... I can't really reinstall windows XP because I don't have a CD for Windows XP Tablet Edition. EDIT 3: Nevermind, I really have no choice now, Those Acer CDs are pieces of shit, they seem to format the hard drive partition and then fail to reinstal the OS....I'll have to use Regular XP then, hopefully it won't interfere with my schoolwork (which I don't see how unless the Engineering department is going to be an asshole about it). Additional Spam: OK, I'm in deep shit now. I assume if the BIOS can't pick up the Hard Drive, it's officially dead. There's nowhere I can't reach.

Nah, it's still under warranty, I'll just send it in. The only thing I have to worry about is going notebook-less through my Engineering classes as well as my Computer Engineering Classes. Which, I'll be without a notebook for about a week, which may be a problem.
