I think I get what you're saying....
You're saying that you can have a customized character (Mii) with preset moves that are already programmed into the game, though I like the Wii Sports idea. For example, your Mii could have the following moves: A: Punch (Meh, has to be simple) Forward/Backward + A: Tennis Raquet Smash (makes sense) Up + A: Uppercut Smash (Wii Boxing?) Down + A: Golf Club Drive Smash? (Wii Golf?) Left/Right + B: Bowling Ball Hurl (Wii Bowling) Up + B/Recovery: ??? Down + B: ??? Super: Mii Summoning (I dunno, just calls EVERY Mii on your Wii onto the screen and mobs the entire screen?) I suppose it could work. Might be amusing under certain circumstances. It's fun speculating ![]() Most amazing jew boots |
...Or they could program in preset Miis like Miyamoto, Reggie, and Iwata or something. That way, there are at least 3 Miis in stock. I suppose the more Miis you have, the more damage it does? These are some crazy ideas I'm throwing out, BTW.
Anyways, has the release date changed from the previous mention of the March - May 2007 timeslot? or is it still slated for release around that time? I still need to pick up a Wii, but every goddamn store in town is sold out. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Let's say our main character is Mario. He has all of his A moves. Down+B --> Luigi/Luigi's B Move Left+B --> Dr. Mario/Dr. Mario's B Move Right+B--> Mario/Mario's B Move Up+B = Coin Punch Ok, so we start as Mario. Since we're already Mario, Up+B would do his coin punch and Right+B would do his respective move. So far so good right? Well yeah, but the wrinkle comes next. Say you are presented with the perfect opportunity to kick Jigglypuff's ass out of the stage, but can only be done with Luigi's B Move. So what do you do now? Well, the obvious thing to do is to just Smash with A, but if you hadn't thought of that, you would have been forced to press Down+B to change to Luigi first, and then Press Down+B again to actually do the move. Sounds like a short amount of time, but that's plenty of time for Jigglypuff to get the fuck away or, if you're unlucky, use Rest. I was speaking idiomatically. |

Regardless, I still vote for Megaman over the latter incarnations. His moves would be really easy to come up with since he has a rather diverse arsenal. Most amazing jew boots |
As mentioned before, B would be his normal buster, which could be charged, not sure if it would be cheap if you could charge while on the move, but hell, that would be the most logical thing... Left/Right+B Could be mapped with a Rockball or something, one of the three projectiles he could throw in Marvel vs. Capcom. Up+B would be a simple recovery move, not too far off of Fox's recovery move. He could have boosters under his feet. Or he could call Beat like one of his other supers in Marvel vs. Capcom Down+B could be that Whirlwind move he had in Megaman 8 (one of the few I played), which I think he also had in Marvel vs. Capcom, I think it was called Tornado Hold. His super could be his same super in Marvel vs. Capcom where he goes supersize and launches like 50 missles that cover the screen. EDIT: Some pics::

There's nowhere I can't reach. |
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I'm almost certain that Mewtwo, Pikachu, and Jigglypuff are all going to stay. Pichu might get the boot, however. Anyways, I'd rather them not take out anybody and just add people in, that way, we don't have people complaining about how they removed somebody's "best" character (which, if your best character is somebody like Ice Climbers, then damn).

I thought Nana just followed whatever you did? I didn't know he was controlled by AI...
Sure, it's fun playing as the Ice Climbers, but I think it'd be fun playing with just about anybody. Introducing other characters in its place is just as good. It really doesn't bother me if Ice Climbers is removed as long as they added someone just as interesting. As for Young Link/Pichu/any other alternate versions of existing characters, they should get a complete make-over or get the boot. There's not much of a point having characters that have the same exact moves, but slightly different game mechanics/game physics behind the moves. How ya doing, buddy? |
