DLC is out. Early word is that 200cc is completely fucking nuts, even super hardcore people I know over on GAF who have max VR (?) scores and shit are falling off the track and hitting walls constantly, and at least for right now braking is a must or you gonna die. This also has unintentionally led to baby and featherweights now being top tier since they have higher grip which is hilarious to me.

Also to access 200cc in any mode you have to have beaten all cups on 150cc. It's not clear on if you have to have 3 starred them, gotten Gold or just beaten them period, but a heads up for folks who haven't bothered doing that before.

I only had time to play for a few minutes last night, so I just ran through the 2 DLC cups in 50cc Grand Prix to get 3-starring them out of the way and check out the courses and new characters/karts. All of the tracks are pretty great. Big Blue is fucking awesome. The whole time I was trying to imagine playing these on 200cc and there are parts and tracks where I'm just like noooooooooooooooooooope

Played one race of 200cc on Baby Park. It was the best worst Mario Kart experience I have ever had.
