[General Discussion] Black Friday GETS

I have this belief that unless what you're buying (for yourself) on Black Friday will either:
1) feed you
2) give you a better <fill in appropriate word here> life
3) help you net more money/ a better job,
It's totally not worth that extra couple bucks you're gonna save. Think of the gas money you'll waste just driving around looking for parking.


Some of you may have already seen this on my FB.

But anyhow, I don't tend to shop on Black Friday because I'm either too busy catching up on sleep or avoiding the crowds. This year, I didn't shop because I've been working for 14 hours, nearly straight aside from eating and driving to and from different job sites.

I usually don't have a desire to get "more stuff" just because it's a ridiculously good deal. I have a few friends who'd go out and buy the ridiculous door-buster sales at SEARS/KOHL'S for mail-in rebate DVD player sales and stuff like that to DONATE to charities and people in need, but for the most part, I see most people lining up for Black Friday doing so as shopping for themselves. I just don't see the point of doing so for myself since I pretty much have what I need and what I need now (a space heater) isn't all that expensive and not that much worth the 2 hour line for the extra $20 savings.

So anyways, what did you all get this shopping season?
