I've routinely used "w00t" and "GG" in my previous job (before I went back to school) and it raised my boss' eyebrows quite a number of time.
It was fun being a geek working in the airline business because you can totally get away with signing off on a phone call with "live long and prosper" and you get by your day knowing that the other person got a total kick out of it. Here where I am... eh, not quite so much. There seems to be a bit of manga/anime/video game connosiers in my department, but I'd rather not show that I'm that eloquent with such material since Japanese people (meaning 98% of my office) are quite judgemental. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
