You live in Los Angeles, so is there a lot to do on the Santa Monica pier as far as a date night goes?
|
Can't say; never been to the Santa Monica Pier on a date. Too expensive and I can do the same thing for half the price with a quarter of the gas expended going to some other nearby beach.
On the note of adding to ideas: Leon's taking me out to a Dodger's game tonight. (W00t!) Leon isn't much of a baseball fan (in fact he doesn't like the sport at all), but he knows I like it and was able to get tickets for tonights game so he just asked me out on it. (It's the thought that counts <3)
So, I don't know if the girl's into sports at all, but that is also one option you have. Fortunately, there's several local teams: LA Lakers, Clippers, Dodgers, Angels, Kings, LA Galaxy, etc. you get the point.

I know one thing I plan on doing when I have to move out there in the fall is to try and spend a day at the Long Beach Aquarium since I've heard it's pretty good (rather pricey compared to the ones I'm familiar with out here, though).

Shop at a nearby local Ralph's Supermarket store, and you get a $3 discount on your ticket price. (Buy the ticket at the cashier). Yes, the Long Beach Aquarium is AWESOME. Very nice area to have a date too, since you can hit the aquarium earlier during the day and there are some really nice restaurants / bars right by there on the bay. I recommend the Yard House if you're a fan of drinks, but also the Queen Mary is right there (expensive as heck tho).
