I wear glasses on a normal basis. I have contacts as well, but they are the gas-permeable hard rigid type lenses, so for daily routines where I can potentially be at the office for 9+ hours a day, contacts aren't practical. The A/C is on cranked up all the time in the office (except on weekends, it seems) so it's really too dry of an environment for me to be wearing contacts and be comfortable with it.
Once I wore contacts to the office and by the time it was 3PM, my eyes were so dry and miserable that I opted to switch out to my glasses since I knew I wasn't going to be able to bear driving in my contacts. And the switch to the glasses was pretty annoying too, since I didn't have my suction cup thingy to take the hard lenses out.
Definitely considering LASIK here as well, but I don't think my optical insurance covers it if at all.
Jam it back in, in the dark.
