Yeah, I've played cards with friends (mainly blackjack) while I was in college. We used quarters as chips, max bid was no more than a couple bucks. Was actually quite the fun, but I never really got anything out of it other than spending some good quality fun times with friends (not to mention lots of drunk moments, laughs, jokes that spawned from those instances that never grew old, etc) and the most I lost usually was a few bucks. Eh, in that tiny college town spending $7 one night just to drink and chit-chat with friends over cards was far more worth it than spending $10 at the movie theatre.
