regarding Busuo Renkin, I really wonder what constitutes the negative reviews on it. I haven't bothered to read it, and if it's not worth my time, I won't, but I've thoroughly enjoyed reading all of Kenshin and got a kick out of the growth of Watsuki's style, which is clearly shown in Busuo Renkin. Is it the storyline that makes it sucky or that when compared to Kenshin it just blows? |
For me the story just wasn't interesting enough. It was a while since I last read it (stopped at vol 2) but I just didn't bother to continue on, I guess there was nothing really special about it. The characters weren't that interesting as well. If you're gonna compare the storyline with Kenshin then I'd suggest you don't start at all....or maybe you can give the anime a try if you like it.
