While I love the SS series (although I've only played SS [NES], SS (PSP) and Blazing Lazers if that counts), I'm not sure whether a 2 and 5 min mode is enough for me to get SSR. I would have bought it in a heartbeat if it was a full game though.
I hear lots of good things about Super Star Soldier so I should get it on VC. I already have BL. Jam it back in, in the dark.  |

Guess there isn't much love for the SS series here. While I've barely played many games, I'd go as far as to say it's my fave top-down shooter series 'cause SS (NES) was the only one I've kept coming back to 'cause it was just too much fun.
I'll get SB first if you recommend it, Django! I dunno if you have that remake, but I hope you can help me with a problem. There's supposedly a 4th ship you can unlock, but I've never been able to get it. According to the FAQs, you're supposed to fight a boss and wait until it goes to 'crab' mode in which it will eventually fly away and you'll get the ship, but the boss IS a crab so I dunno what 'crab' mode is, and I did wait for a bit and it never ever flies away. I dunno if that's wrong info. There's nowhere I can't reach.
