Wow, Rock. I thought I was the only one who didn't use Gambits. I like to control the way the fights play out too. Of course, fights will take longer, but I don't mind it.

That battle was fun! Sure, I had to run constantly to catch up with them, but fighting five little wicked tomatoes is cute.

You just reached Sochen and your party is at level 42? O.O

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Gilgamesh's entrance is funny.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I went ahead and tried out Nabudis today, defeating both Fury and Hubaba, as well as a rare game that I happened to stumble across during my travels. I thought Hubaba's death scene was funnier than Fury's.

Next time I play, I'm gonna go tackle Chaos and a Goliath (a hunt) in that dungeon.

Ah you've finally been turned over to the Dark Side, Spat. If only you had listened to me sooner.

Ha, level V and VI hunts aren't that hard. It gets tougher starting from VII.

I hated the bombs in the caves, but I didn't find it too difficult. I got the first Esper there, but didn't get the 2nd one yet.

~Summonmaster, Vaan is supposed to be an average joe, with no special qualities. You're basically supposed to pretend you're him as the story progresses, hence his uh, blandness.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

What's a recommended level and skills for fighting Chaos? My team is at level 52/48/48/51/52, and the Esper wiped the floor with me.

So instead, I typed up a lot of entries for my bestiary project.

Oh, and where can I buy Soulmate?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

If you have the key already, then you can already enter the passage. You can get there in the Estersand. There is another entrance to the dungeon south of the South Bank Village. The now-recovered traveler and her men are at the entrance, so you'll know you found the right place when you see it.

You can't teleport inside the passage until you get inside by the alternate entrance. Otherwise there'd be no reason to get the key then.

You have to go west for a long way to reach Bloodwing (south and west I believe). If you continue further, you can fight one of the optional Espers.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Nay nay, there is another entrance north of the collapsed entrance. From the old entrance, go north to the next map and go all the way to the east. You'll see the new entrance there. There's also one of the Mimic enemies at that location, so you can't miss it.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Your party is higher than my team when I went through the Barheim Passage, so yes, you shouldn't have much problems there. The bombs, however, are neutral, just to let you know.

When I went through that place, it was hell. Those skeletons and ghosts were damn annoying, and I had to cure myself a lot.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

What? Getting the weapons in FFX was a total pain in the buttside : / Dodger Chocobo is a hideous game.

Alas, I'm not playing FFXII as much anymore, as you can see from my decreased activity in this thread. I got my hands on ToTA recently and I've been playing it with my little sister :3

Besides, you guys are always talking about hunts and weapons that even I haven't done or got yet, so all your posts are going over my head.

You got ToA? Congrats, it's an awesome game. Too bad the thread died a while back.
Yes, I'm at the Springs now, and it's too bad the thread died. I've been recording my progress and thoughts on the game in my journal instead, but I'm not getting much replies. I thought lots of people like that game :/

Believe it or not, that's actually a good thing, because some of the things we're saying might convince some folks not to pursue certain items/enemies. I'm sure someone glancing at PN's comments on Yiazmat or Omega would shit themselves ten times over and reconsider any exploration they had in mind.
XD so true. I shudder at the HP totals for some of these monsters, but I still want to try to tackle them some day. FFXII sidequests are fun.

Yeah I did some of the bestiary project today, as well as go hunting for that Roblin in the Deadlands. Damn, those skeletons were so annoying. I had Vaan fighting the Roblin, or whatever it's called, alone while I, as Basch, went after the skeletons while Fran cured everyone. She eventually died so I switched her with Ashe. Vaan basically defeated the Mark all by his lonesome, haha...

After I won, I ran the heck outta there, but Vaan and Ashe died in the process. Yok yok!

After my little sis goes back to school next week, I plan on playing more FFXII, since she won't have much time to play ToTA with me during the weekdays (homework and all).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I am Ferretian :3

I haven't touched FFXII for a week now. I'd like

to, but my little sis wanted to play ToTA instead (we haven't won it yet), and she likes to play the entire night, so no time left for FFXII for me.

I'm hoping to continue FFXII after we win. She'll probably be swamped in homework soon to be able to play for long stretches anymore.

I think I need to stock up on new techs and spells and crap, 'cause I didn't bother too much with those, and it looks like they'll come in handy for the tougher Hunts and bosses.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I finally went out and did some stuff today, including killing a new rare game and obtaining two more espers: Exodus and that fat one in the Waterway (I hate that place). Exodus was easy, but the other one took a bit due to the HP Sap. I would've gotten three Espers if I hadn't died just when the boss was just literally seconds away from dying : / It was Zeromus.

The rare game I got was Drowned, and I did the seven sisters sidequest.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Everyone's at level 48-51.

I was running out of Phoenix Downs and the Skeletons eventually overwhelmed me. That was when Zeromus was on the verge of death. That makes it suck even more. Just a couple more hits could've got him. Boooo...

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Well, the higher the chain, the better chances of getting rarer loot, and you get other benefits too, like free health charges on occasion and you get a nice prize in the sky pirate den for chaining 50.

A good place to chain in the early stages is the skeletons in the mines or the little Jawa guys in the Sandsea. Another place is the Grimore Jungle.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I've levelled up everyone but Penelo because I told myself I'd never use her. All the others are at levels 55-60 respectively.

I've never had any experience with characters stalling though.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
