She, you ragamuffin. She, and I edited my post. I meant to say 300+, not 3000. I knew something was wrong when I doublechecked my post :D

Well, lots of stuff. In the Ozmone Plains, I'm consistedly(sp?) doing that much damage on pretty much everything. Haven't went into the Mines yet to further test my new found power.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
So now you know! Most amazing jew boots |
Every guest character so far are valuable members of your party. They kick so much ass.
I played for close to two hours today. Spatty (see how I vary your name everytime I talk to you?), after reading your post on how you whooped the Elder Wyrm's ass on your first try, I went ahead and tried to tackle the stupid dragon again. I also stocked up on items before the battle, but didn't go crazy like you did. I had around 20 of each item, and I...whooped his ass on the first try. Thanks for your post, eh? I'm happy now. Don't worry about not remembering names. I forget them myself. I can't even spell most of them. I just finished talking to the dude after the snowy pass and stopped playing then. I thought the scene where... Spoiler:
The Feywood scares me dreadfully. Everyone's at level 25 now, except for Fran at level 26 and Penelo. I just don't like using her in battle. Got some more Swiftness and HP+'s so now my party are powerhouses. FELIPE NO

I don't use any gambit. I'd rather manually tell them what to do because I'm just used to it after playing lots of RPGs. I'm doing just fine without them. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Well, if you use gambit slots a lot, then yes, it'd be worth it, but I don't so I only buy them if they're in the way of a square that I need to get to.
I couldn't play last night 'cause my little sister was hogging the bedroom. I'm going to catch up tonight, unless she's stuck in there again. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Heyo, I went to the next dungeon after passing through the Pasmina Rift (not gonna say the name less I spoil) and I almost defeated the final boss there when I my entire party died. I guess it's worth it to get some Ice Shields before fighting said boss? Those minions are so tough. Most of my party uses two-handed weapons though. Any tips?
If anyone hasn't gone there yet, here's a word of advice. DO NOT FIGHT THE THREE DRAGONS. Come back when you're stronger. One is bad enough. Three is overkill This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Ooo HALVES damage. I'll equip everyone with one-handed weapons then XD nah, just kidding.
The party is at level 27/28 right now. I was doing fine until the end, so with Ice Shields, I may be able to beat the boss without having to level up, so I'll test it tomorrow. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I was doing fine against said boss. I only lost 'cause I ran out of Hi-Potions (a god-send in boss battles). I had the boss on the close to the red zone before I died. I only use Cure if I absolutely have to. Two of my team uses one-handed weapons, so I'll grab Ice Shields for them.
The Feywood still scares me. I sell all my loot save for Teleport Stones and Ghsyal(sp?) Greens. I was speaking idiomatically. |
Now I need someone to do me a favour. I just won the final boss battle at the Shrine, and when I was heading into the cutscene where they get the UBER MAGIC ITEM, my dad came into the room. I paused the game and waited until he left, but I accidently SKIPPED the cutscene altogether. So...can someone tell me what happened at that part?? Put it in spoiler tags, of course. After I got through that part, I went ahead and defeated the next boss. Was easier to defeat than the last boss. Then I decided not to advance in the game and try my hand at killing some Marks. So I took on my first Rank 3 hunt, the giant tortoise thing at the rainy Giza Swamps. I fought that bloody thing for close to a frickin' HOUR with no Dispel or any of that sort that could have made the battle a whole lot easier. I ran out of Phoenix Downs and Eye Drops and was low on MP and almost ran out of Ethers and I barely made it out with my life. I never thought I'd actually manage to kill it. Remind me to stay far far FAR away from tortoises from here on. I hate hate hate hate hate hate HATE them. >_> :( I tried out my brand spanking new Esper and damn, it looks even sweeter than the first one. These Espers give the FFVIII GF animations a run for their money. Damn impressive stuff. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Y'know...since you won, Cobalt...care to help me out? Read 2nd paragraph in post #2236.

Man, isn't anyone gonna help me? I know there are people who are past the part I am now, and I want to know what happens after the battle with

Thankie thankie, Punishment. That was very informative :3
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
@ashaman: Thanks, but someone already helped me with that :D This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I went on ahead in the story today after completing that bottle sidequest (used the funds to buy another Grimoire) and realizing I can't beat many rank III Marks. Nothing else to do but go forward.
Right now I am at the Phon Coast. After passing through the nasty Mosphoran Highwaste (there's one section with a mob of werewolves!), passing through the Salika Woods was a breeze. Pretty much the entire left section had neutral monsters. Why can't all the moogles take a break in one location? That doesn't make sense. The Phon Coast is the location in the demo, right? Man, that'd be a perfect vacation spot if all those monsters weren't around. That place is so pretty. Square didn't skimp on the environs. Quite possibly one of the best in VG history. I can kill werewolves and their kin, and the other neutral tough nasties (like the Wild Saurian in Esterland) now with ease. Everyone in my team (save Penelo 'cause I don't wanna use her) is at level 29 now, except for Vaan at 30. I've no idea how many hours I've clocked in so far. I never bother to check, but I will next time I play. I can't find Dispel and Haste anywhere. Help? Someone said they could be found in Eruyt Village, but I went there and I saw nothing. Y'know, for someone who supposedly is supposed to be the lead, Vaan doesn't say much at all, other than his long speech at Jahara. Everyone else has more lines than him, it seems like. I suppose that's a good thing. He's not chattery like Tidus. Is 'chattery' even a real word? I still am digging the game a lot so far, contrary to what other people are saying about it regarding the crappy story around halfway through or so, but maybe I haven't gotten along far enough yet. Don't tell me when it happens though, 'cause I want to find out for myself. P.S. I listened to some of the OST earlier today and damn, I didn't know there was a FFXII rendition of Battle on The Bridge. That's a FFV theme, isn't it? This new version rocks. I didn't care about BGM too much when I first listened to the OST, but after spending more time with the game, I'm definitely warming up to the music. They fit the mood of the various areas they play in. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

That's why I said supposedly the lead. Yes, I agree it seems to go on the FFVI route with no actual lead. Out of the group, Balthier and Ashe seem to have the most importance story-wise.
I disagree that Vaan talks more than Squall. Well, technically, it's true, but Squall's thoughts, which he did a ton of, far surpasses Vaan's words. Thanks for the help with the magick, guys. Oh, I played again after I posted that message (my little sister forced me to) and I checked my time. I've been playing for 42 hours already. The enemies in Phon Coast are pretty tough. Ouch! I fought that T-Rex there and he didn't put up much of a fight. I was just mentioning that to my little sister when BAM! He pulls off this uber attack, killing Vaan in the process. No wonder he wasn't putting much of a fight. Oh well, it's a good place to do some levelling up, 'cause I think I'm underlevelled ![]() I was speaking idiomatically.

As I mentioned in an earlier post (page 90), I suggest
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Darn...you answered already. I was gonna edit my post.
I forgot to add that someone else here mentioned another good place at the Golmore Jungle with those panthers. Either way is good. FELIPE NO |
Um, considering this is the FFXII thread, most people are going to say FFXII.
Since FFXII is the only game I've played out of your list, I won't be very helpful. FFXII gives you a lot to do though, so that should definitely keep you occupied over the holidays. I really want to play ToA, but I haven't gotten it yet. People say it's great too, so I suppose it doesn't really matter which one you decide. I've never heard of the third game you mentioned. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I saw golden amulets at Mr. Bur-Om...blah. I thought I bought one for everyone, but nope, I found out later that Ashe doesn't have one. D'oh.
My Fran seem to have no problem hitting enemies with her bow though. *shrug* Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Oh...oops. My mistake. Sorry :(
I didn't know there was an item that doubled XP. Cool beans. It probably won't appear until close to the end of the game. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
ARRRRGHH!!!
I tried three times to kill the Earth Tyrant, but I've failed each and every time. The horrible part about it is, I manage to bring it down to a bloody sliver of HP before my party succumbs. Bah! I defeated 11 Marks so far, and I managed to kill a Rare Species today. It was the Wary Wolf. They're hideously rare all right. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I'd understand if NOTHING happens between these two places, but I still see cutscenes and stuff on the way there, so I don't think it's really that bad. I'm gonna get better armour, then continue through the Phon Coast. I'm still having fun with the game, so maybe I'm just abnormal. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
