Hello everyone. I hopped over from the FFXII thread to see what people are saying in this one. I'd probably still spend most of my time there though.
Anyway, I already have the full party only after 20 minutes of playing. That's some record. I went to the Sealed Cave and promptly got my ass kicked. I thought people said every FF game are easy enough that you don't even need to level up on purpose to get past something :D After playing FFXII, the random battles is starting to show its age. Granted, I still like random battles, but it takes longer to finish each fight now. It shouldn't take that long just to say how much exp the team got and stuff, for instance. In other RPGs, I can press a button to pull that stuff up instantly, but not this one. The opening FMV is cool, but when the video splits into both screens, it gets really confusing due to the big gap between the top and bottom screen. Can you DL it somewhere so I can see it intact? How ya doing, buddy?

So you're saying FFIII DS has the same difficulty as the Japanese version? I thought the FF GBA conversion was a joke.

I'm still levelling up for the Sealed Cave, haha...
But really, what is the point of Mognet? From what I can see, it's just an email system. Do you get anything special out of it? Oh, and in one of the FAQS at GameFAQs, one person said that the American version includes new stuff like heroes with more distinct personalities. Does that mean the original FFIII game had heroes with much worse personalities? This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Thanks for all the help, you guys, and since so many people helped me, I won't mention names! I spent over half an hour levelling up in the forest last night (and getting a measly 3XP for every battle XD), only to THEN check gameFAQs to find out you should level in the castle, and the fact there's a purty sword there. D'oh! I finally am at the part where I can now change jobs! YAY! So since I've never played FFIII before, what jobs are good for beginners? I presume it'd be something as basic as White Mage, Black Mage, Warrior and Warrior, but this game has so many choices that I'm quite lost here. By the way, here is my Friend code! 300732836370 P.S. How do you add bloody SPACES to email? .... .... Oh never mind! I figured it out! I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Not having played the original game, I can't comment on which is better, but I am liking this so far. It's better than FF and FFII anyway. I'm at the Vikings cave right now, and I hate being Mini and being forced to use magic. I rarely use magic in RPGs... How ya doing, buddy? |
