Just get away from it all

No debts are going rack up etc. if you are gone for a week or so. You'll just have some catching up to do on your studies.

What I did around that age was take off on a weekend. I'd take buses, and do tons and tons of hikeing. Being on foot is very good therapy. It was great to trek out for a day, and collapse completely tired in the middle of nowhere, pitch a tent, and sleep. Or grab the shittiest room you can find if that's your thing. You leave on a Saturday (Because Friday eveninings you are too tired to get any decent miles in. And you come back.. Whenever. Could be Sunday, could be Wednesday, doesn't really matter. By having little money, and not going further than you can manage to get back, you'll get back without hurting your schooling. It may not show you a whole lot about the world, but it'll likely help you to learn about yourself a little bit.

There's really nothing to worry about, I mean, your financial/school situation isn't going to change in but a week(ish). To think otherwise is just a way to stress yourself out and talk one's self out of just cutting loose.

However, how are you supposed to understand those around you when you have cut yourself off from the experiences that they have had? Others drink, and smoke pot and carry on, you might as well try it. Isolating yourself from other people's experiences isn't much different from isolating yourself from other places.

Also it's not just drinking and smokeing that are the experiences that you are giving up. It's the good times, the way communication can be in these states, and the things that your group will end up doing.

You don't want to get away from everything, you want to change your behaviour as it relates to other people. Nothing stopping you from doing that in your current situation. After you've gotten over your issues of not getting a job, going to school, or socializing, then you can re-evaluate whether you want to get away or not.

At least that's the way it looks from your brief post.
