[PS3] PlayStation 3 Discussion Thread

It's funny how the guy working at my gamestop tried to play dumb at first. Then after talking to him a bit he said "Oh.... so you got the email huh?" He wouldn't tell me how many the store is gonna be getting though. I live in a small town so I wouldn't expect more than 7. I plan on getting there a few hours early tomorrow morning with a friend to wait for the opening so we can get our name first on the list. I just hope I don't show up 3 hours before they open to find a line of 10 people. >.<

Got to my gamestop 3 hours before opening and there were like 13 people camping outside it to pre-order. I didn't really expect mine to get a line that big this early since I live in a pretty small town full of people who don't know much about gaming. I decided not to stick around since I know my gamestop probably won't get any more than 6. =\

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The 24hour Wal-Mart in Dixon already has about 15 people outside and a tent set up. Lame!

I like how I randomly walked into a Best Buy yesterday 6PM and found one. They only had 60GBs too! I laugh at all the people who camped for a week to get one before the end of the year.

I tried some PS2 and PS1 games for the heck of it. Star Ocean 2 worked fine. Suikoden 5 seemed like it loaded a little bit faster. As soon as I popped in Tales of the Abyss it looked like pure crap. The anime scene looked weird and pixelated. The in game text and graphics look like shit. What gives? Has anyone else tried Tales of the Abyss on a PS3?

Sony better fix this soon. I was planning on finishing some of my Ps2 games on here because my ps2 console is old and gets disc read errors randomly.

I have Ridge Racer and Resistance too. Don't see the point in buying any of the other games (ports lol) for the PS3. Right now I'm waiting for Virtua Fighter 5, MotorStorm (maybe), Heavenly Sword if it's good, and Armored Core 4. The GTHD demo is pretty darn impressive. Even my dad thought it was some sort of show on TV at first.

I was thinking about buying a bluetooth headset with my best buy gift cards. Some range between 50 to 100 dollars. Which is a good one to buy? =\

My friend works for Best Buy so he was able to buy one for 47 dollars. I have yet to try it with my PS3 but I heard this one works fine. If anyone is up for a game in Resistance I'll play. :3

Bought Warhawk the other day. Playing it was a nice break from Persona 3. So far I like the game. You can just jump in and start blowing shit up. I felt like a total n00b though and didn't know what I was doing at first. I commit suicide at least 6 times goofing around in the aircraft. xD But I think a lot of people were n00bs anyway.

People don't seem to talk very much in the game. Either they bought the game from the playstation store or they're too lazy to plug in a usb headset or pair their bluetooth. Or maybe they just aren't talking because they don't know how to play yet. :3 The only thing I hate about the game is how you can't join any games half the time. You always get the game is full message, even when there's 4 open spaces left. I probably spent like 15 minutes trying to join a game.

I'll be playing the crap out of this over the weekend for sure.

Because people suck. I've been ran over by own own teammates so many times and sometimes it can be annoying. I also stopped playing on games hosted by other people because it really pisses me off when the host randomly decides to end the game.

More GFFers need to get in on this game. So far I've only seen russ. I'm trying oh so hard to get skills to buy a PS3. He's getting pretty close to purchasing one. :3
