Ha! I think one of my favorite parts of this game has been watching people post endless threads about how they got slaughtered by the dinosaur. In a way, it was brilliant game design on Square-Enix's part because when you're finally powerful enough to slaughter the thing, it feels REALLY good.

I've started Twilight Princess (which is AMAZING) but I'll probably be going back to FFXII at some point or another. The sidequests call out to me...

I don't know... I found the rabbits in the Faewood to be most aggravating (with confuse being the most devastating status effect in the game).

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The bomb boss is made considerably easier if you buy armor that cuts fire damage in half and accessories that nullify oil. Trust me, it's a wise investment.

I used Vaan, Fran and Basch in my main party through pretty much the entire game. The rest of them stayed at level 10-14. It got very interesting during the times when my main party died...

One of my good friends played through the game with Vaan, Ashe and Basch. It apparently worked well for him. The characters are mostly interchangable anyway.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I remember him! It was a long battle, if I recall correctly. And he was pretty nasty. My characters were in their mid-50s but it wasn't so bad as long as I kept up the usual defensive spells and just slammed away at his HP.

It was my favorite game of the year. Awesome story, awesome characters. Aside from Suikoven V, it's the only game I played this year that had me on pins and needles for the next plot point. I hope that you're enjoying it.

I'd actually love to replay the game since I missed on a LOT of the sidequests but I loaned my copy to a friend (who isn't playing it in favor of FFXII, ironically enough).

That poor ToA thread! It's not even on the first page!

That was actually my favorite part of the game!

Then again, I'm a sucker for a good story and I never found the battles in ToA to be all that interesting.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
