Strongest aspect of politics? Bullshitting, without a question. To convince people that their votes matter and that its all going to be okay in the end because they voted for the "right" person... Politics is convincing people that they can make a difference, when in fact their relative input is quite minute in terms of impact.
However, bullshit keeps heads from rolling. Bullshit gives people faith that the situation is going to improve and bullshit keeps a sense of order...and control over the masses. Jam it back in, in the dark.
