There have been reported witnesses at many of the scenes this weekend who just won't speak up. July has just been an awful month and quite possibly the single worst month I can ever remember living here as far as homicides go. It simply isn't safe to walk around anymore here risk of getting killed.

There is the possibility that the witnesses were gang members. If its a normal citizen, they are probably familiar with the neighborhood and the people that live in it. Therefore they are less likely to identify the killers because they enjoy living.
Identifying the murders could mark them for death. People are afraid, and I don't blame them. If people mind their own business, there is less reason for them to meet the same fate. Its a sad thing as many of these types of gang related crimes will remain unsolved.
