Okay guys, I need your help. I love this anime...but...it's confusing, as you all are well aware of. I've had to watch the episodes broken up over periods of time but right now I've got episodes 1-18. My problem is this...what the hell is going on?

general? yes...but if someone who has the will, the inclination, and the ABILITY, could you please explain what has been happening up to this point? I know it's asking alot, but I think other people who need help from you guys who really get this series will thank you, as well as myself. A brief summary would be helpful but if you want to win MANY MANY internets, an episode by episode analysis would be ideal. Some of these episodes leave me just staring blankly at the screen wondering what I just watched. I'm usually pretty good with "Getting" this stuff but this series leaves me drawing blanks. Anyone? I'm desperate. If not, that's okay too, I just thought I'd ask.

I guess I'm kinda dumb, but I can only find as far back as ep. 8-9 on that site. can someone link to ep1?
