[INSERT GENRE HERE] MOVIE XX: A BRICKWORK OF LOOSELY-CONNECTED POP CULTURE REFERENCES DISGUISED AS PLOT THREADS WITH A POOP JOKE MORTAR Come on. You know it's true. I'm not gonna waste my hard-earned money on "Epic Movie", especially based on the trailer. Some of the jokes looked amusing, but honestly, a lot of it really didn't do it for me. The Superman joke was 100% predictable, and does SoaP really NEED to be parodied? It practically parodied itself. Oh, right. In response to the original question - I don't think it's going to do very well unless it miraculously turns into the critics' darling. Most people that I've talked to hated "Date Movie", and "Scary Movie 4" wasn't that well-received by audiences either, if I recall. I think the general populace is realizing that the 'series' and its 'jokes' are wearing thin, and unless they actually crank out something genuinely funny and the critics rate it highly, then probably very few will really want to see it. Jam it back in, in the dark.
