I hate Noun Verb Noun bands.

Whenever an odd phrase or set of words pops up in Dave Barry's writing, he always stops and says "wouldn't that be a great name for a band?" I think that's the way most of these band names get made; somebody just says "hey, wouldn't it be cool if we called ourselves...?"

Since I'm not the biggest fan of mainstream music, I find most non-descriptive band names to be annoying, since 9 times out of 10 they tell you nothing about the band, the genre, or anything else. Remember when all bands used to have names that followed the convention "Name and the Verbers?"

Oh, and the best name Dave Barry ever came up with was actually in Noun Noun Noun form. It was the name of a Japanese youth band: King Fucker Chicken.
